An Exciting Week

This is an exciting week at StrengthVillain and Villain International. There are lots of important things going on behind the scenes as well as on the front page over the next few days.

This week you’ll see part two of “Bringing Up the Back” which will lead you through an eight week crash course on addressing a weak link in a lot of people’s armor.

You’ll see an entertaining release from a female contributor about how exactly NOT to attract women.

And, schedule permitting you’ll get a look at another segment of the “On Being a Beast” series.

A lot of great content, no doubt.

In addition to these things I’m excited to talk to the consult clients that I have scheduled this week. I have been doing more of these as of late after having taken a hiatus for a while. It is great to be back in touch with you StrengthVillain readers. There are few things I enjoy more than helping one of you get on the right track to smashing your goals and then hearing about your inevitable success down the road.

With any luck, our podcast will be recorded and potentially released this week as well (petition Petenerd on the board to make this happen).

I’m excited for my own training week as well. One of the young’ns that works for me is starting out basically from scratch this week and will be my training partner for a while. This is always an exciting thing for me as I know that he will progress very rapidly and will be a motivated, helpful partner.

Add all of these things up with a lot of good food, good company, good cigars, and inevitable laughter and there a lot of things that I am excited about this upcoming week.

    • I’ve got to see photos of this when it’s done. Nothing beats homemade. To this day 90% of the equipment in Greyskull is either homemade or bought off of Craigslist.

    I got into CrossFit this week. This will be my HIIT while I do my GreySkull LP “Linebacker” focus program. Bought some Rogue fractional weights and a head harness. Can’t wait to get things going! I want to become a beast . . . NOW!

    I’m scared as hell to squat tomorrow. I’ve got an anxiety in my throat, in my chest, that tells me it’s going to be intense. Any time I have this feeling I come out stronger on the other side but that’s never made it any easier to anticipate.

    Just about to start 5/3/1 tomorrow. Looking forward to the change after nearly a year on the GSLP. Not changing my deadlifts for now though, as theyre still rocketing on the current system. Want to hit 150kg for 5 tomorrow. Not bad considering i was doing 55kg for 5 in feb 😉

    Also, nerd news, The Elder Scrolls Skyrim is out on friday – bashing dragons in the face with axes will never get old.

    Hey JP. I’m new to the site.

    This week I plan to start progressing into my new minimalist shoes. Lots of walking and light off-road running.

    I need to work on my biggest weakness ( one legged squats or “pistols” ) and move house.

    Seems like a big week for everyone.
